About the Role

Plan and deliver engaging and rigorous instruction in alignment with state standards and UPLIFT curriculum guidelines.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning, participation, and respect for diversity.

Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, including English language learners, students with disabilities, and gifted learners.
Use a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology tools to facilitate student learning and achievement.

Assess student progress and growth through formative and summative assessments, analyze data to inform instruction, and provide timely feedback to students.

Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.

Participate in professional development opportunities, team meetings, and school events to enhance teaching practice and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Uphold high standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in all interactions with students, families, and staff.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Education, Math, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

or completion of an Alternative Certification program.


Texas Teaching Certification in Mathematics or similar (or eligibility for certification).


Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in ELAR at the elementary/middle/high school level.

Knowledge of math curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices aligned with state standards (TEKS).

Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and ability to effectively support the needs of diverse student populations.

  1. Proficiency in technology tools and platforms for instruction, assessment, and communication.
