About the Role
UPLIFT Public Charter Schools is seeking a motivated and organized Advancement Coordinator to support fundraising, donor relations, and community engagement efforts. The Advancement Coordinator will play a key role in advancing the mission and vision of the organization by cultivating relationships with donors, organizing fundraising events, and implementing strategies to increase philanthropic support for our schools.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives to support the financial sustainability and growth of UPLIFT Public Charter Schools.
Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and other stakeholders to secure financial contributions, sponsorships, and in-kind donations.
Coordinate donor recognition activities, including acknowledgment letters, donor appreciation events, and personalized communications to express gratitude for their support.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records, gift acknowledgments, and fundraising reports using donor management software and databases.
Collaborate with school leadership, board members, and volunteers to identify funding priorities, develop fundraising goals, and implement strategies to achieve fundraising targets.
Research and identify potential funding sources, grant opportunities, and partnership opportunities to support the mission and programs of UPLIFT Public Charter Schools.
Prepare grant proposals, grant reports, and other funding requests in collaboration with program staff, ensuring alignment with funder guidelines, objectives, and deadlines.
Assist with the development and production of fundraising materials, including solicitation letters, brochures, newsletters, and website content, to communicate the impact of philanthropic support and engage donors.
Participate in professional development activities, workshops, and networking events to stay informed about best practices, trends, and innovations in nonprofit fundraising and donor relations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement or senior leadership team.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, Communications, or related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, or related field.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and donor management software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge).
Knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices.
