About the Role

UPLIFT Public Charter Schools is seeking an experienced and visionary Associate Director to provide leadership and oversight for one of our school campuses. The Associate Director will serve as a key member of the school leadership team and work collaboratively with staff, students, families, and community partners to create a positive and supportive school culture and drive academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and supervision for instructional programs, student support services, and school operations to ensure the overall success and effectiveness of the school.

Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administrators to develop and implement a comprehensive school improvement plan that addresses academic achievement, student growth, and school culture.

Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of instructional staff, ensuring alignment with school goals, priorities, and instructional standards.

Conduct regular classroom observations and walkthroughs to monitor instruction, provide feedback, and support professional growth and development for teachers.

Analyze student achievement data, assessment results, and other indicators to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement and implement strategies to address student needs and promote academic success.

Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes respect, equity, and diversity and addresses the social-emotional needs of students and staff.

Communicate effectively with students, families, and stakeholders to build relationships, address concerns, and promote engagement and involvement in school activities and initiatives.

Collaborate with district administrators, support staff, and community partners to coordinate resources, services, and programs that support the academic and social-emotional development of students.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, policies, and procedures related to education, student services, and school operations.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Schools or senior leadership team.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education, School Administration, or related field.

  • Texas Principal Certification or eligibility for certification.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in education, including teaching and administrative roles, with demonstrated leadership experience.

  • Strong knowledge of instructional practices, curriculum development, assessment strategies, and data analysis.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of educators and staff.

  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and educational technology tools.
