About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Research, identify, and evaluate potential grant opportunities that align with the mission and programs of UPLIFT Public Charter Schools.
Collaborate with school leadership, program managers, and other stakeholders to develop grant proposals that effectively communicate the organization's goals, objectives, and impact.
Write clear, compelling, and persuasive grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funder guidelines, requirements, and deadlines.
Gather and synthesize relevant data, statistics, and evidence to support grant proposals, including program outcomes, budget information, and organizational impact.
Manage the grant application process from start to finish, including proposal development, submission, and tracking of outcomes and reporting requirements.
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with funders, donors, and community partners to enhance UPLIFT Public Charter Schools' visibility and funding prospects.
Stay informed about trends, best practices, and changes in the grant funding landscape, and share relevant insights and recommendations with the team.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in grant writing, preferably in the education or nonprofit sector.
Proven track record of securing grants and funding from diverse sources.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with keen attention to detail.
Strong research and analytical abilities, with the capacity to synthesize complex information into compelling grant proposals.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and grant management software.
Knowledge of grant regulations, compliance standards, and reporting requirements.
Passion for education, youth development, and social impact.
